Windows 10: English or Roman?

Wondering what will be the name of the OS when it will be out.

Simply Windows10, or WindowsX ?

Expecting a mature GUI this time!! *Cool

What version is on your computer?

If you have Windows 10 already installed, open the CMD(DOS) Window and at the prompt, type in VER and then press the return(enter) key.

Example for Windows 8.1

C:\>VER

Microsoft Windows [Version 6.3.9600]

Or you can open the RUN window, and type in WINVER, or type in WINVER at the DOS PROMPT to get your build.

If you want to know what version MC Tool you have, right mouse click the Mediacreationtool.exe and pick PROPERTIES, then check DETAILS. I assume the version matches the build you download, but I have not fully checked that.

If you want to check the ISO information, mount your ISO, Enter the CMD(DOS) window as ADMINISTRATOR. Navigate to the drive letter of your mounted ISO by typing in the drive letter followed by a colon, and Change directory to SOURCES. Then use DISM to get
your info.

Let's say your ISO is on Drive M:

Example: Typically, you end up at the System32 folder when you enter the CMD(DOS) Window. The Techbench ISO will be INSTALL.WIM and the MC TOOL will have a INSTALL.ESD

At the prompt, type in M: Then type in, CD sources, then type in..

dism /get-wiminfo /wimfile:install.wim

or

dism /get-wiminfo /wimfile:install.esd

M:sources>DISM /get-wiminfo /wimfile:install.wim

NOT. And the only way to get the file to resume that I know of, is like you do with win 8.1 MC Tool, by getting the ESD Link from the XML file and processing it that way thru a Download manager, that is if you can find it. I haven't looked for it yet. However,
I know the tool will have the HASH checksums for all the ISO downloads, that is, if it was made like the win 8 MC Tool . And if you do download the ESD file, you will need to use other tools from the web to convert it into an ISO, which I have done.

It's actually Roman (X) or Arabic (10) or 2 (Binary).

 

Binary would in fact be 1010, which in this case fits quite well *Smile. Windows 10 or Windows 1010.

Binary system has and knows no digit 2.

 

I meant 10 in binary is 2 in decimal.
