Windows 10: Enormous task manager power consumption

This has become very aggravating. I run Windows 10 most current version and if I DON'T load up the task manager in the background it will run at an enormous power consumption rated Very High for no reason consuming a ton of resources. It never drops. It absolutely kills any performance at all. If I load the task manager in the background and leave it open the power consumption stays where it belongs. I do not understand this problem. Does anyone have any suggestions?-Rick

No restart button in task manager

another easy way to kill tasks, download and install Winaero Tweaker(free) and theres a setting to add a Kill non responding tasks using the desktop right click menu. When you place your cursor on the desktop anywhere and right click the option is at the top of the list, Very handy and you dont have to go through all those steps and well Winaero Tweaker has alot of cool Windows tweaks. Just posting a different suggestion, Im sure your ok with what was suggested here.

 

Processor Power Management isn't there

Hello! I have a laptop and i find that the fan is constantly on, and the sound is unbearably loud. I checked various YouTube tutorials and some suggested reducing the CPU's power consumption percentage in the processor power management area (after clicking
advanced power settings). When I click advanced power settings, there is no section titled processor power management. is there a way to reduce the CPU's power consumption percentage, and why cant I find the processor power management section?

I suggest you to perform few of the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps:

Method 1:

I suggest you to delete the unused process running from the task manager.

Steps:

• Right click on the Start button and select Task Manager.
• Identify the un-used processes, select and click on End task.

Method 2: Run the Performance troubleshooter.

Performance troubleshooter finds and clean up unused files and shortcuts and performs maintenance tasks.

  Type “Troubleshooting” in the
  Search box and hit Enter.
  
• 
  Select “System Maintenance” from the
  Troubleshooter window.
  
• 
  Select “Advance” and click on “Run as Administrator”.
  
• 
  Click “Next” and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process.
