Windows 10: Entering row in Excel - error

Hello all,

So I'm trying to put together a table in Excel which i managed to do, however I need insert 3 lines at the top of the table(above the head of the tabel), but Excel won't allow it. Is anybody familiar with this sort of error? I've been browsing online but couldn't get a clear answer. Please find attachment to see what is says in the pop-up

So I checked the file you supplied and get the same error Robert. It seems to me that the issue exists because of the formulas used in lines 26 and 48. There is an issue with the =SUMPRODUCT formula.

If you delete those two rows and save the document it becomes editable. I am not an excel aficionado so I can't help you with the error but I am sure you can figure it out.

Keep in mind that you are using a mobile version of excel and as such it may not have the capability of dealing with =SUMPRODUCT formula ... but then it might so give it a try.

Try deleting those two rows and your document should become editable. Now fix the parameters entered in the formulas and possibility it might well work Robert.

 

Why does an Excel doc on sky drive not show all of the rows?

I have an excel doc on my sky drive that has 1036 rows and 4 columns of info for each row.

When I open it on my computer it displays all fine, but on the phone it stops displaying rows at 1036.

Is this a phone memory issue and its only able to view tiny excel docs?

 

How many rows of the spreadsheet are you using? If every row has something in it, then you can't have any more rows. My version of Excel has 1,048,576 rows in a spreadsheet and I've never filled one.

If you go to the last row you think you are using and delete every row below that (if there are any), you should then be able to insert rows at the top.

Which version of Excel are you in? I think Excel 2003 and earlier only had 65536 rows available.

 

In Excel the Ctrl+End key combination will take you to the last cell in the last row that you are actually using. You may have inadvertently put something in a row far beyond what you think you are using.
