Windows 10: Entire OneNote section disappeared, can be searched in search bar but cannot be clicked

I'm a university student and have been using OneNote for my class, reading, and assignment notes for years.I'm currently taking one class over the summer and have an entire section for that class -- I'm not using OneNote for anything else, and have not added anything to other sections. Just today, I opened OneNote and saw that the entire section with all my notes for only that class has disappeared. For some reason, when I go to Ctrl+F the section, it appears in the search bar but is not clickable. I've already checked my recently deleted notes and they are not there. I'm assuming that if I ca

Did you make any changes prior to this issue?

Is this specific to OneNote or the same persists with word?

I suggest you to try performing Windows app troubleshooter and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

• 
  Type troubleshooting in the
  Search area on the taskbar.
  
• 
  Click on View all on the left panel of the Troubleshooting Windows.
  
• 
  Select Windows store Apps.
  
• 
  Follow the on screen instruction.

Disable new search bar in Outlook 365

OK. There is a way to disable this new search box in Microsoft Office 365. For Outlook:

1. Open Outlook 365.
2. On the lower left-hand corner click options.
3. In the User Interface options under the General Tab, click the checkbox Collapse the Microsoft Search box by default.
4. Click OK.

The search box will now disappear. However, disabling this option would only work on that application. If you open Microsoft Word or PowerPoint, you will need to do these same steps to disable the search box (if present) as well. Let me know if this works for you.

 

System Spec search function.

I think it would be a really cool idea if we could search members of this forum and find out who has similar setups. Fellow members could connect with each other and figure out how close their configurations/voltages/temps are in reference to stock clocks or overclocks. And who better than someone who owns exactly what you have can give suggestions on how to fine tune their hardware?

A small search bar designated in the system spec section wouldn't be a bad place for it. If that's not feasible, then it could very well go into the "Advanced Search" section and have the search go by "System Specs" to have it filter out all who has a particular CPU or GPU. I think it would be a good alternative or should I say complimentary to using our regular search, which I usually find frustrating having to scroll through tens if not hundreds of threads to find what I want. What do you guys think?
