Windows 10: EOS-ERR-1603 Epic Online Services install FIX!!!

Hey everyone, if u tried every method on youtube or epic official website, or any google methods of the error, and epic online services still not working and not installing just do this:1. Fully uninstall the EpicGamesLauncher from your PC with all folders and files you can see on the picture what i send to this mail 2. After you uninstalled the Epic Launcher from your PC, open Microsoft Store and write to the browser : Epic Games. Press enter and dowland the epic games launcher from the Microsoft Store, and the epic onlince services will dowland and still works on your PC 3. After Epic Lau

EOS-ERR-1603 Epic Online Services install issue

I wanted to share a fix to the EOS-ERR-1603 error that some experience with the Epic Games Launcher and Online Services Install that I haven't seen elsewhere and I hope might be useful.

Various forums suggested the issue may be due to installing the launcher on a different drive, but mine is in the default location on C:\ so no joy with that either.

However I noticed in the registry there were entries pointing to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\Epic Online Services" but the deepest folder didn't exist in my installation, so I created the folder "Epic Online Services" under the "Epic Games" folder:





I then re-ran the installer as described in step 6 on the Epic page linked to above, which in my case is C:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\Launcher\Portal\Extras\EOS\EpicOnlineServices.msi and the installer ran successfully fixing the issue.

Can’t Install Epic Online Services (EOS-ERR-1603)

EOS-ERR-1602 when installing Epic Online Services component to Epic Games Launcher in Windows 11

I have been troubleshooting with Epic Games and none of the solutions they came up with worked for me, so the agent suggested I ask Microsoft for guidance since EOS-ERR codes are related to the MSI installer.

This is what I have tried:

Reinstalling the Epic Games Launcher

Updating Windows 11 and restarting the computer

Running Epic Games Launcher as administrator

Granting Read and Write permissions to Epic Games Launcher

Shutting down Windows Installer Service and then attempting the install

Running the Install and Uninstall Troubleshooter from Microsoft

Relocating Epic Launcher to my main drive

Even after all these actions I still get a prompt to install Epic Online Services from the Epic Games Launcher, and when I tried to install it I get the EOS-ERR-1602 error code when it fails to install.

Anyone know any next steps?
