Windows 10: Epsom XP-202 Printer Scanner

A friend has asked me to fix a problem with this printer.

It used to print & scan correctly, but at some stage an update has changed that, and now the scanner software says it cannot communicate with the scanner.

The printer is connected via USB to the computer which is running Windows 10 Home.

I have uninstalled and re-installed a newly downloaded set of drivers from Epsom. This has not fixed the issues

Any suggestions as to how to make the scanner "visible".

Epson XP-202 printer/scanner compatible with Windows 10?

Hi,

Been away from home for a few months, during which time there have been several very large cumulative and other updates for Windows 10. On arriving back home my laptop wouldn't communicate with the Epson XP-202, so followed all of the help on line and re-installed
the printer drivers and established a WiFi connection and lo and behold the printer now works.

Same cant be said for the scanner, have tried deleting and re-installing the scanner drivers and all I get is a message which says 'Cannot communicate' - same message if I attempt too use WiFi or USB! Tried most things I can see on line and none of them
have solved the issue.

Scanner bed appears to be working as i can use the XP-202 as a copier and this uses the scanner bed.

Any ideas on what I can do to get the scanner working in either WiF or USB mode?

Have you tried downloading & installing the scanner driver listed under DRIVERS in link below:
