Windows 10: Epson 7720 problem with Windows

Have not had this problem bofore so being told it might be a Windows problem. I need to change the ink cartridges and when I open the scanner cover as the manual directs me to do, the ink cover is suppose to move so I can remove the old ink cartridge. This was an automatic move before and now it is not moving the cover to allow access to the old cartridge. Please advise.Thanks, Susan Bobinger

Epson 7720 Printer prints with Windows 7 home but not with Windows 7 Professional

No, that's not correct. Epson has Windows 7 drivers for the Epson WF-7720:

It sounds as if the port configured by Windows is not using the IP address assigned to your printer.

• Open Devices and Printers
• Right-click on the icon for your Epson WF-7720 and select "Printer properties"
• Select the Ports tab
• Look at the "Port" column on the line that is checked and highlighted.
• Assuming that you've connected the printer wirelessly, the port should be something like:
  
  192.168.x.y
  
  and it should be described as a "Standard TCP/IP Port"

Now print a "Network status page" using the printer's front panel controls:





If the port shown in the "Printer properties" dialog is not the same as the IP address shown on the Network Status page, that's why you printer is not printing.

You can fix this by ...

• Right-click > Remove the printer from Devices and Printers
• Use "Add a printer" from Devices and Printers > "Add a network, wireless, or Bluetooth printer" and complete the wizard.

This fix will only work until your printer's IP address changes again, which may happen if you leave the printer powered off for a day or more and connect another wireless device to your router during that time. The proper way to avoid this problem is to
assign the printer a "static IP." Ask if you need instructions for this or see pages 31-31 of
