Hi, I have a very unusual but who knows , hopefully not with my LQ570 printer and look for some genius out there who may have a clue about what is going on!Here is the story:1 I upgraded 2 gateway SX2370 computers from windows 7 home premium to Windows 10 home premium2 On the main computer my LQ-570 had disappeared from the printer list. I unplugged it and replugged it and it took about 10 minutes to tell me it was installed as LQ-570. Win 10 Pro - Upgrade - Printer Error

After upgrading to Win 10 Pro from Win 7 Pro, I have this issue -

All devices and programs work except for a Epson LQ-590 dot matrix printer.

The printer is not auto-detected but I can manually install the printer. However Printers/Scanners shows the printer name but when printing a test page it states the printer is in a error state. The printer shows no issues (and the printer worked before
the upgrade).

In Device Manager, the printer is listed under 'Other Devices' as Epson LQ-590. I can right click Update Driver, it finds a newer drive, downloads the driver and installs, but at the end it states "there was a error with the installation, see if the manufacturer
has updated drivers on there web page". There are no drivers on the web page.

The printer is connected via a USB (from computer) to parallel adapter (Centronics printer connector) on the other.

Just done a Windows update this morning. Now my printer LQ-590 is working.

I have the same issue with a Win 7 pro 32 bit following update KB2952664 windows /KB4048957 security / KB4041778 net

LQ-590 printers went down, they are still functioning in a virtual xp box. I was not able to restore to an earlier time.

Old drivers, new drivers from update and new drivers from Epson do not work. Please fix. The USB ports were an issue and after deleting them, and cleaning spooler I could completely delete all versions and reinstall, but still no joy, even with direct
print.

Please fix.
