Windows 10: Epson Scan Smart: You cannot send the email confirm the settings

I've been using Epson Scan Smart with no issues on Windows 10 ever since the program was released. Recently, I've upgraded to Windows 11 and when trying to use Epson Scan Smart and attaching the scan to an email reference point, an error message, "You cannot send the email confirm the settings" appears. I've attempted to do research into this topic and the only post that sort of applies is this. When attempting to use that solution it just doesn't work. Does anyone have any ideas on what settings need to be confirmed? Thanks.

I just tried a later suggestion and it worked great for me:
On my Dell PC, right clicked Epson scan shortcut and selected "Run as administrator" ...
A tiny pain to remember each time I'm selecting the scanner shortcut, but much less pain than the problems I was experiencing!!!

 

My epson scanner cannot attached a scan to an email

Hi,

I have Outlook 2019 (standalone) installed on Windows 10, and Outlook is set as the default mail client.

I have an Epson printer/scanner with the latest version of SmartScan.

When I attempt to scan a document and attach it to an email, it fails to load Outlook.

The error message says something about the scanning software not being able to communicate with the default email program.

I've restarted the computer a few times.

Is there anything else I need to setup in Outlook for it to be able to work with other installed programs like Epson SmartScan?
