Windows 10: Equal to sign "=" repeats in my HP 241G Laptop

Hi,


I'm facing a really weird issue in my HP 241G Laptop.


Whenever I turns it on, in the logon screen where it asks for password and whenever I open any document file to write something may be notepad or word document, the equal to sign "=" automatically keeps on repeating.


But if I immediately press esc key then it stops. It repeates again, when I starts typing.


Initially I thought it could be virus or OS issue. So I tried loading windows 7 and 10 but still I'm facing the same problem.


So could you please help me on this.

My hp laptop wont turn on

This is a frequent problem am sure as you have already seen from online searches.

Flea power is usually the culprit here, basically its residual power that remains on the computer even after thecomputer has been shutdown. You can drain the flea power with the steps the other answers have suggested.

• Disconnecting the battery and adapter
• Press the hardpress the power button for 30 seconds
• This should clear the flea power

• On the Windows 10 Start screen, type hp connected remote.
• Click HP Connected Remote from the Apps search results.
• Click Settings, and make sure Enable HP Connected Remote is turned On.

Unable to access HP Simple Pass to Sign-in to the computer on Windows 10

Try the below steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to download the latest HP Simple Pass software from the manufacturer's website install it and check if it helps.

Step 2: If you have already installed the software, I suggest you to re-install it and check if the issue persists.

Follow the steps to Access Recovery Manager:
