Windows 10: ERR_GFX_D3D_INIT - Iris XE graphics

Hi! I have a Lenovo ThinkBook 15 G2 ITL notebook, with i5-1135G7 CPU, and Iris XE graphics.My problem is, when I'm playing with the legally bought GTA ONLINE, after some time i got an error message mentioned in the title. In the event viewer I see an error telling me, "display driver igfx stopped responding and has successfully recovered". But even thoe the driver is "recovered", the game exists instantly. When we bought the PC, it worked perfectly, for about a month, and then we had started getting this message. The notebook came, with a preinstalled version of Win 10 Pro. When the

What’s New: Today, Intel launched Intel® Iris® Xe MAX graphics, designed for thin-and-light laptops and now available from partners. Intel Iris Xe MAX graphics is based on the same Xe-LP microarchitecture used for Intel Iris Xe graphics in 11th Gen Intel® Core™ mobile processors. It is Intel’s first Xe-based discrete graphics processing unit (GPU) as part of the company’s strategy to enter the discrete graphics market. Intel Iris Xe MAX platforms feature Intel® Deep Link technology as part of Intel® Adaptix™, support PCIe Gen 4 and address an emerging need for content creation performance in thin-and-light laptops.

What Deep Link Does: Deep Link aggregates multiple processing engines through a common software framework to bring new capabilities and better performance to PCs. This framework helps to unlock creativity in thin-and-light laptops by maximizing CPU performance, boosting artificial intelligence (AI) creation performance and taking industry leading encode to the next level.

How Deep Link Works: Deep Link technology brings together processing engines under a common software framework, allowing software developers to significantly boost content creation workload performance. Applications can scale certain workloads across integrated and discrete graphics. Examples include:

An additive AI capability that enables inferencing and rendering on both GPUs to accelerate content-creation workloads.

A combination of industry-leading encode engines in each GPU through hyper encoding that allows the time to render out videos for reviewing or sharing.

The first Deep Link-enabled applications use Intel® Media SDK, Intel® Distribution of OpenVINO™ toolkit and Intel® VTune™ Profiler to access the full power of the platform. What It Delivers: 11th Gen Intel Core mobile processors paired with Intel Iris Xe MAX graphics deliver Additive AI to provide 7 times faster AI-based creation1 than similar laptops configured with third-party graphics, and Hyper Encode for up to 1.78 times faster encoding2 than a high-end desktop graphics card. Additionally, the CPU is rarely optimized in thin-and-light laptops paired with third-party discrete graphics. Win 10 (SP4) Iris Pro Graphics 540 - manually set resolution?

I believe that the problem is with the Iris Graphics 540 card.

It seems that displays can only be connected to it using
DisplayPort 1.2 / eDP 1.3 which maxes out at 3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz,
or using HDMI limited to the older version 1.4a which also maxes out
at 3840 x 2160 @ 30 Hz.

You might try to use the less-limited HDMI 2.0
by adding a DisplayPort converter that supports it.
Such converters may be bought in stores or on Internet shopping websites.

Or if possible for your computer, add/replace the video card.

(Edit: The last sentence was written before I knew the post was about the Surface Pro.)

Cannot install Windows 10 1511 10586 update - Intel Iris Graphics 5100 not compatible

I have Mac Mini with Windows 10 in Boot Camp.

Windows 10 Update to version 1511 10586 fails with error:

This device isn't compatible in windows 10. Contact the manufacturer
for more info.

I tried following:

Reinstalling Windows support software (drivers) - update failed

Reinstall only graphic card driver to original provided by Apple in above step - that installed older driver than I already had - update failed

Hiding all (driver) updates with Microsoft "Show or hide updates troubleshooter" - update failed
