Windows 10: ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH logging into Taskalfa printer on local network

I'm getting the following error trying to log into our Taskalfa 5551ci printer. This has worked for years, but suddenly stopped working.This site can’t provide a secure connection10.10.0.23 uses an unsupported protocol.ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCHHide detailsUnsupported protocolThe client and server don't support a common SSL protocol version or cipher suite.

Cannot install local/network HP 1102 printer. administrator keeps blocking app.

• Is your Printer connected to a Local network or Domain network?
• Do you get any error message?

As an initial troubleshooting step, I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the same issue occurs here as well.

Here are the steps:

• Go to Settings.
• Choose Accounts and then select
  Family and other users.
• Select add someone else on this PC.
• Enter a user name and hit next.
• Click on Finish.
• Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

printer won't work on network but will over usb

his printer has a built-in print server.

What you need to know what ip is being give to the printer. Perhaps you can print a status sheet from the printer.

Then Go to printers in control panel

add a new printer

local printer attached, uncheck automatically detect and install PnP printer

create a new port, select standard tcp/ip port

a new window should open and enter the ip there where it says printer name or IP address (port name then should be also be filled as you go)

and pretty much follow the rest of the steps, you will need to install the printer drivers.


These steps is the easy, but not the right way.

The right way is to use the network option on the initial screw and search for the printer server...but that can be tricky to configure.
