    Erractic behavior after recent Updates

I am getting very frustrated. For the past month; I have been experiencing very erratic behavior with my Desktop PC, after doing a series of recent Windows 11 Updates. I am uncertain which one; because there have been quite a few in the past few months. I have a HP Omen 30 Desktop with Intel I7 processor, 32 GB of RAM and a NVIDIA Geforce RTX 2060 Video Card. I am running Windows 11 Version 22H2. For about the past month; my mouse cursor will just randomly jump to the top left corner of the screen; windows will minimize on their own, windows will open on their own, and pages will switch back t

  2. Erractic behavior

    Hi Kenneth,

To better isolate your concern, kindly answer the questions below:

    • Were there any updates or changes made on your computer?
    • Do you get error messages when this happens?
    • Is there a specific app or program open when the auto zoom happens?

We look forward to your response.

  3. Replicate Win7 behavior for Recent Documents?

I'm trying to figure out if there's any way to get back to the Window 7/WinXP behavior of Recent Documents on the Start menu. I liked being able to click the Start button, then just choose from a list of the most recent files from a jump list. I work with a number of different file formats throughout the day, saving them in different client folders. I understand that Microsoft has moved towards using the Recent Items view in a File Explorer window, but that means I always need to open yet another window, double-click the file I want, and close it when I'm done. Is there any way to just get it back to a jump list?

Windows 11 Updates causing erractic behavior

Has anyone else started experiencing very erratic behavior in the past month, due to the most recent updates? I am having constant issues with tabs opening on their own; windows minimizing without any action from me; and the mouse cursor constantly gravitates to the top left of the screen when I am using Microsoft Edge. My monitor is touch screen; so I disabled that feature in case that is what is causing the issue. No luck. I tried using 3 different mice and two different USB ports; again, no luck. I even did a complete reset/reinstall of Windows 11 and chose to delete all files and settings. Still having the same problem. For now; I am going back to Windows 10, until Microsoft can figure out what is causing all the erratic behavior.

I can't tell if new 'active window' behavior is intentional or not after recent update.: A program, once opened from the taskbar (e.g. you click on the Chrome icon), will open but not be the active window--so you can't type anything into it or interact with it until you manually click on the now-open window. It feels intentional but is crazy annoying because it...
