    Erratic behavior with backup and restore


    I am using wbadmin start backup in PowerShell to save backup images onto an external drive. Well, this process saves the images so that I can choose from several ‘sessions’ and not just the most recent backup, sometimes. Other times, any existing backups for a given machine are overwritten by the process. WTH?? Why sometimes this, sometimes that when using the exact same process?I want this, ALL the time:The ability to save, say, a year worth of quarterly backups for each computer I maintain, then choose which one I want to restore.Someone replied to me 'It appears that overwriting is the ex

    WINDOWS 10 ERRATIC BEHAVIOR

    I have upgraded to the new windows 10. I have not backed it up yet. I also have no restore points.. Is there a windows repair that will check the entire installation and find the problems causing erratic behavior?

    There is no such utility, and if you're looking for help from your fellow Windows users you'll need to be a whole lot more specific than 'erratic behavior.'

    Free hard drive backup/restore program?

    I am looking for a free (freeware) program that will back up and restore a hard drive. I'm looking to clone a few external hard drives. If the program will backup the used space instead of the whole drive this will be awesome! Thanks for any suggestions.
