Windows 10: Erratic keyboard touchy touchpad Acer Windows 10 laptop no fmapp.exe

Hi, I have read some of the other threads hoping a previously posted solution would work for me. I did find the post where fmapp.exe was the culprit but I do not have that program.

My keyboard is erratic. The touchpad seems to highlight and delete stuff at will and the cursor moves around, too. I just ran CCleaner and Malwarebytes and have 360 Total Security, which is also up to date.

Problem with my touchpad !

Hello !

My touchpad works erratically
at startup in the sense that if I hit
a wedge. more open
and right click does not work, and after
using the keyboard, recovers miraculously.
How do I get rid of this problem?
I have an Acer E5-571 with
Win. 10 Pro.

 

Mouse Pointer isn't smooth

I currently own and use an Acer Aspire E5-574T laptop.

When using the touchpad, the cursor moves rather erratically and isn't smooth at all. I could move the cursor to say the left side of the screen, take my finger off the touchpad and the mouse cursor will jump to another part of the screen.

However, the mouse cursor is completely fine if I plug in an external mouse and use that instead but I do not have the space to be constantly using an external mouse.

I have spoken to Acer about this before and they didn't help at all. They asked me to check if the touchpad drivers were up to date in which they were and that the only other thing that would help is to do a factory reset of the laptop, which didn't help
either.

I kind of wish that I never bought an Acer laptop now because the touchpad makes it rather hard to use.

Please help! I'm going insane over here
