I am getting this error for the following updates:

Update for Microsoft Office 2010 (KB2597087) 32-Bit Edition - Error 0x8024002d

Update for Microsoft Office 2010 (KB3055047) 32-Bit Edition - Error 0x8024002d

Update for Microsoft Office 2010 (KB3114555) 32-Bit Edition - Error 0x8024002d

Update for Microsoft Office 2010 (KB3114750) 32-Bit Edition - Error 0x8024002d

I used to have Office 2010 Pro and Visio 2003 installed on this machine, but removed both several months ago and installed Office 2016 and Visio 2016 in their place.

I've tried running the Windows Update troubleshooter and resetting the update database but still see these errors.

How do I convince update that I'm not using Office 2010 any more?

So I've tried all the suggested answers, I've downloaded the update from Microsoft and tried to install only to receive a file not found 'AceRedist_x86.msi'

Search whole computer for AceRedist_x86.msi which could not be found!

I'm on a ASUS T200a Transformer.

Office 2016 updates "error 0x8024002d"

I suggest you to refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the article

Fix Windows Update errors and see if that helps.



Note: The last two steps talk about in-place upgrade and clean installation. Clean installation will remove all the data and programs from the computer. You may take a backup of the data before performing the steps.
