Windows 10: ERRONEOUS RE-DIRECTED LOGIN TO HOTMAIL

AFTER PULLING OUT ALL MY HAIR WHEN THIS LAST HAPPENED, HERE IT COMES AGAIN. RE-READ PREVIOUS THREADS TO CATCH UP ON THIS ISSUE. AFTER ENTERING THE CREDENTIALS PAGE TO LOG INTO MY HOTMAIL, I AM RE-DIRECTED TO THAT ASININE KEEP ME SIGNED IN PAGE WHICH NO MATTER WHAT ONE DOES, KEEPS POPPING UP.ONCE AGAIN, GOING BACK ONE PAGE TAKES ME TO MY HOTMAIL INBOX! SO MS IS RE-DIRECTING ME AGAIN!!!COME ON MS. THOUGHT WE HAD GOTTEN RID OF THIS BACK ON 11/20.STRANGE THAT THIS PROBLEM OCCURRED LAST YEAR ENDING AROUND 11/20. I ASSUMED MS FIXED THIS PROBLEM BUT IT'S BACK AGAIN. WHAT IS REALLY IRRITATING IS THAT

I suggest you to perform Safe Mode with Networking and check if you’re able to login using your Microsoft account.

Method 1: Safe mode.

Please follow below steps:

    Click on power button at left bottom corner, press and hold
    Shift key and click on Restart.
    
  • 
    Click on Troubleshoot.
    
  • 
    Click on Advanced options.
    
  • 
    Click on Startup Settings.
    
  • 
    Click on Restart.
    
  • 
    Login to Microsoft Account and create a new administrator account.
    

If you’re not able to login using Microsoft account then refer to below steps and check if it helps.

Method 2:
Activate Inbuilt Administrator Account.

Follow the below steps:

    Click on power button at left bottom corner, press and hold
    Shift key and click on Restart.
    
  • 
    Click on Troubleshoot.
    
  • 
    Click on Advanced options.
    
  • 
    Click on Command Prompt and enter following command.
    
    net user Administrator /active:yes
    

Now reboot your system and login to inbuilt admin account and try to reset password for other account. Once you reset password login to other account and to deactivate inbuilt admin account enter following command in elevated command prompt.

net user Administrator /active:no

Erroneous symbols at the bottom left corner of desktop icons

I'm running Windows 10 with the latest updates. A few days ago, the icons for objects on the desktop changed appearance. The icons are correct but
all have a symbol at the bottom left corner:

• Shortcuts show the correct shortcut symbol
• All files erroneously show a shortcut symbol
• Almost all folders erroneously show a shortcut symbol
• Some folders erroneously show "X"

The icons for files and folders (including the Desktop folder) displayed using File Explorer are all normal.

I would appreciate any suggestions.
