Windows 10: error 0x80029c4a during W10 update to v 2004

My PC has eventually offered the opportunity to install the new May 2020 W10 feature upgrade I am still waiting for this for my laptop!. However, the upgrade fails, with error 0x80029c4a . An earlier upgrade also failed, essentially because of a problematic hard drive and some files missing in one area. I was then able to examine a log file in Notebook, see where the error occurred and copy across the missing files from the laptop. When I look for the log file, in Window\system32\winevt\logs , I get a bundle 179 of .evtx files that open the app Event Viewer, but difficult a to identify which .evtx file to open and b how to extract useful information to help me understand what has caused the update problem. Any suggestions, please?

Blue Screen after upgraded to V.2004

Thank you for your reply.

• I could not find the *dump files, I don't think I enable it,
• I will work on the MSinfo file and the Specc files when I have more time in hand.

Questions:-

• you're suggesting that I should install the V.2004 and let it crash (if it'll crash)?
• since there is no .dump file exist (or I couldn't find one), the troubleshooting still good just using the MSinfo and the Specc files that reflects my current system state (V.1909)?

Windows defender showing some error 0x80029c4a in history section and due to this I cant remove or delate Malware .
