    Error code 0x80048802

    Having same error code 0x80048802 when sending new emails or replying to email via MAIL. Account is telus.net webmail account.

    Problem started mid-Oct after using Mail with no issues since Windows 10 upload in July.

    If your eMail client has Requires authentication, select it
    Most servers use Clear text authentication - do not change that unless your provider gave you instructions to set it up.

    Error code 0x80048802

    After searching a solution to the problem of Windows Mail not syncing my outgoing mail, first with error code 0x8007274c and then 0x80048802, I came across this suggestion to deselect "require SSL for outgoing email." I did that and my test email was
    sent and the recipient confirmed receiving it. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
