Windows 10 anniversary update 1607 failed after reboot and gives the error 0x80073B92 - 0x20009

when running windows 10 anniversary update, after restart and it is finished it got the message in action center "we couldn't finish installing update". i have version 10.0.10586. Also manual update from Installation disk fails.

It gives the error 0x80073B92 - 0x20009, "The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during PREPARE_ROLLBACK operation"

Problem with Windows 10 installation

I tried upgrading to the latest version of Windows 10, but I get this error message:

0x80070002 - 0x20009 the installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during PREPARE_ROLLBACK operation

What is this? Apparently, according to the update software, I'm running version 10240 on my PC now. Can anyone help me with this?
