Windows 10: Error 0x80070020 to get rid off

I need to get rid of Error 0x80070020 .It is not allowing me to update my windows 10 to the New 2020 Windows 10 version . please assist

Error 0x80070020 updating to version 1709

I'm getting the same error code as above. I'm not running any .iso. The error reads - There were problems installing some updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: 2018-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64-based Systems (KB4103727) - Error 0x80070020.

I think what happened was that the update was downloading and stopped at 74% downloaded. So, I went away for 30 minutes and came back and it was still stuck on 74% downloaded. Then, I rebooted, thinking it might help. It didn't help. Any suggestions?
