Hello Everyone,This is Tarek. I am trying to move my files to the NAS Storage folder, My files contain 3D max files. but each time I tried to move the folders, this error showed up error 0x80070021: the process cannot access the file because another process has locked a portion of the file. What Can I do to move all my files safely to the NAS storage folder without any corruption?

  2. Error 2203: "...another process has locked a portion of the file" ??

Alright everyone, I am at my wits end here. I am attempting to install Office 2010. Every time I try to install it it starts and about 10 seconds later stops with an error. "Error 2203. The process cannot access the file because another process has locked a portion of the file."

I have tried running the installer as admin, installing to a different area, disabling all other services on startup except for Microsoft services, ending various processes in the background. NOTHING seems to be working. Any ideas what the hell the deal is?

Win 10 process kill "access denied" & undeletable file

    Greetings,

i've encountered the following problem a few times already:

I try to kill a crashed process with the Taskmanager. It gives me a "Access denied" error.

    Here the long version:

I started a game called "Borderlands The pre sequel" (happened to some other games aswell)

The process "Launcher.exe" started but the gui didn't appeared. Now i tried to end the task with the taskmanager. Nothing happens.

Next step was killing the proces itself using the taskmanager. Error: "Access denied".

-I made sure to use the taskmanager as admin (started it via admin powershell).

-I checked ownership of the file and security settings.

-I tried to kill the process with the cmd.

-I checked the process que , it's waiting for no other process.

-i tried to unlock the file with "Unlocker" and "Deadlock". it says sucessfully unlocked. i was able to remove the file "Launcher.exe" but the process remains active.

-The process seems inactive, 0% cpu usage, 1,8mb ram usage.

To finally end the process i had to restart the PC.

    ####################################################

    Problem 2

    Undeletable file

I set a programm called "Netspeed Monitor" to create a databank with the usage of my network. At some point I deactivated it again, and the nsm.db (Net Speed Monitor.db) file remained on my desktop. Now i wanted to remove the file, but windows tells me,
that it's active in a process. I closed the Netspeed Monitor (and made sure the process is closed). Still the same problem.

I used DeadLock to check what process is locking that file. Appearently it's the Explorer.exe.

I ended the explorer.exe and DeadLock confirmed that the file is no longer locked. I deleted it and restarted the explorer.exe. The file simply reappeared and is locked again. This file is there for weeks already, so please do not suggest to do a restart.

Im grateful for anything that helps.
