    Error 0x8007003B just started when trying to move a 6gb file to the downloads folder

    So, it seems I've encountered yet another snafu with windows explorer which seems to be quite broken since the 19 versions of win10. Getting the Error 0x8007003B error code which is stopping moving files from a network drive to the downloads folder on my win10 machine.Wasn't doing it a couple weeks ago, so I'm at a loss as to what is all of a sudden causing it.So, I'm just starting by removing any other useless microsoft apps one by one and will see what might fix it.Started with Microsoft Edge. https://www.tomshardware.com/how-to/uninstall-microsoft-edge-windows-11good how-to. I'll move on to

    File transfer error and lag 0x8007003B

    Hi !

    I am having problems with file transfers from my PC to my NAS. I do not have this problem transferring files from a drive on my pc to another drive on my pc, only to the NAS. I am getting some serious lag with small files and error's with big files.

    If I try to transfer a small file, the transfer window appears but it takes a couple of seconds to start (maybe 10 seconds or so).

    If I try to transfer a large file (a couple of Gb's), the transfer window appears but I get an error (0x8007003B) and the transfer fails.

    Now, this is what I tried to fix the problem ;

    - Disabled Fire wall
    - Disabled Anti Virus
    - Uninstalled Anti Virus
    - Reverted to an older Firmware on my router
    - Reverted to an older firmware on my NAS (QNAP 469 Pro)
    - Disabled the Teredo adapter (netsh interface teredo set state disabled)

    I am all out of ideas.... This problem just came out of no where, not firmware update was done on the router or the NAS when the problem appeared.

    Any help would be appreciated Error 0x8007003B just started when trying to move a 6gb file to the downloads folder :)

    Thanks

    Hi Rajan,

    Sorry for the inconvenience this is causing you. Could you try checking if there are any firmware updates for the NAS?

    Also, see if the solution in this thread works:

    Error 0x8007003B - Unexpected error

    Hello,

    Thank you for reaching out. I am Harun an Independent Advisor and Microsoft User. I will gladly help you out.

    The error 0x8007003B is a network error caused by either transferring a larger file than the receiving PC is allowing or the firewall of the receiving PC is blocking it. A possible solution would be turning off the firewall of the receiving PC but in your case
    its not possible. I could suggest few work arounds;

    - Try to divide the main file into smaller bits and copy it that way.

    - You can use a cloud storage to upload it there first in download it to the other PC. One Drive etc, or wetransfer likes.

    - You also could try sending the file using TeamViewer yet it could also run into the same error.

    Please let me know if this helps.

    Sincerely

    Independent Advisor
