    Hi all,I'm having a strange problem. Windows updates have not been working for ages, to the point that I'm more than a year out of date see pic of current failing updatesI have followed many of the troubleshooting steps suggested on this forum and keep running into other errors. It's clear I have some corrupted system files but I'm unable to repair them. It is possible that part of the issue is that I bought this comp as a pre-built gaming PC and Windows 10 was shipped with it on a USB which is what it boots from. I sort of get the feeling that this is affecting my ability to be able to up

    I have got the error 0x800700C1 and could not update KB3115259, KB3167685, KB3163018 & KB3149135 since a week ago. I tried both you two methods but the result was the same. I don't wish to follow hbja to go back to "Factory Setting". Can you help me sort
    it out with other solutions?
