Mail not reinstalling with error 0x80073D05

I performed a clean boot and was able to reinstall the Mail / Calendar app. However, now I receive error 0x8007054e when I am prompted to add an account to the Mail app, and error 0x80040154 when I attempt to add an account to
    Calendar.

I finally found a solution that worked for me. I just renamed the Folder C:\Users\[your User Name]\AppData\Local\Comms. After restarting the Mail App it creates a new one and now I can add accounts. And Calender and People apps work too. Hope this is helpful for someone.

matschi could you please explain this a little more. What was the folder originally called? And do you just find it using file explorer?

This is the orginal folder "C:\Users\[your User Name]\AppData\Local\Comms". Ein renamed >Comms< to something like >Comms_old<. After starting the Mail App it creates a new >Comms< folder. That's all I did. Since then everything works. I found the folder with Windows Explorer but you can use every File Explorer. Maybe you need to tell Windows Explorer to show all hidden and system files but I don't remember if that was necessary. Hope it works.

  15. OK, I have tried every so called solution that has been posted here and elsewhere so from 0x8007054e where it all started until now getting 0x80070490 errors I am going to finally give up. Services changed, reset, Apps date changed and rechanged and it still won't work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and still it returns these errors. My only guess now is to do a fresh / clean install of Windows 10..... I don't think so! I've had enough with the mail and calender app I remain happy that it does at least work on my Windows Phone

Now, are there any other as yet unheard of solutions?
