Windows 10: Error 0x80070570 File or Directory Is Corrupted and Unreadable

I am getting Error 0x80070570 File or Directory Is Corrupted and Unreadable while deleting something. I have only C: drive which has windows in it.

To better assist you. kindly clarify the following:

• Are you getting this exact message "Error 0x80070570: The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable" when you tried to open the 3rd file?
• Did the icon or picture of the file change to unreadable?
• Have you tried to delete the copied file and copy again from the original source?
• Are you still able to play the 3rd video on the video camera?

Win 10 backup & recovery error 0x80070570

Suddenly, my backup isn't completing. The message is "The file or directory is corrupted or unreadable". The

error is - 0x80070570. Help!

 

0x80070570 means: ERROR_FILE_CORRUPT "The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable

I' having the same problem since early 1607 updates.

None of the aforementioned actions did work!

Thus a did a clean reinstall (w/ keeping user data) and -- again, it fails!

So 0x80070570 means: ERROR_FILE_CORRUPT "The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable."

Since its not the downloaded update files, it must be an issue on the system.

Since I did not let the clean install delete user data, it must be a file or folder which persisted throughout the clean install. And its not hardware related, except the error message is wrong (which I don't assume).

So the question is, how do I locate the file or folder being somehow "corrupted", which could also be a tricky access right issue???

I'm almost at the point of throwing ProcessMonitor at this, alas, the log file must be enormous :-(

Do I find other people coming to the same conclusion?

Did someone find it?
