Windows 10: Error 0x80071160 when trying to install 2021-09 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version...

When trying to install 2021-09 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 20H2 for x64-based Systems KB5005565 using Windows Update I get error 0x80071160 .When trying to install the update manually I receive error - Windows update "Security Update for Windows KB5005565" could not be installed because of error 2147946848 "The WOF driver encountered a corruption in the compressed file's Resource Table."I've tried running Windows Update Troubleshooter, resetting Win

2017-09 Cumulative Update failed to install

My last successful update version was build 413. Each cumulative update since then has failed to install. Latest message was "2017-09 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1703 for x64-based Systems (KB4038788) - Error 0x8e5e0147". Any suggestions on how I can rectify?

Sometimes the Windows Update needs to be reset. It can get out-of-wack for a variety of reasons under different circumstances. Try the reset procedure found here on one of our tutorials. Post back, please, with your results. Thanks, TC.

Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) will not install

Maybe try with the Windows update mini-tool, found here http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/t...dows-10-automatic-updates-and-spyware.218745/ , thanks to Mussels. it installed perfectly for me last night.
