Windows 10: Error 0x80073701 when trying to install Windows Server Backup on Server 2019

I am getting the following error when trying to add the Windows Server Backup feature"Installation of one or more roles, role services or features failed. The referenced assembly could not be found. Error: 0x80073701"I have tried running SFC scan but that fails with message: Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation.I have tried running DISM and that completes without any errorsHere is a snippet of the CBS log-01-20 16:51:54, Info CBS Appl:Forcing GE on revision on parent:Microsoft-Windows-ServerCore-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.17763.1 2

Windows Server 2019 cannot install IIS features on Server Manager - Add Rolls and Features

Actions attempted but no lucks
1. "Specify alternate path"
Tried to install from the DVD install media; E:\sources\sxs

1. Run from elevated CMD: "DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:E:\sources"
   

Others
microsoft-windows-netfx3-ondemand-package.cab was in the DVD media

Please kindly advise me if I can try something else other than re-installing the OS from scratch.

Windows Server Backup app problem in Windows Server 2019

Dear All,

The problem mentioned in the subject may be quite simple one. But for me it is a big head ache to find what might be the cause. I believe in this community and let me explain my problem in detail.

Few days ago I tried installing WINDOWS DEPLOYMENT SERVICES in my company DOMAIN CONTROLLER which is running in WINDOWS SERVER 2019 and succeeded in that attempt.

But I changed my mind later and then I removed that feature. The very next day what happened was, when I tried to do backup of my windows server I found the backup feature is missing. Here are the steps what I did to bring it back.

1. Tried updating the server through windows update. Nothing worked.
   
2. Tried mounting the windows server 2019 OS image file from microsoft website and enabling the feature from DISM and Get commands. Nothing worked in this case too.
   
3. Used the same DISM to use online source for repairing the system image. Also didn't work.
   

The server OS previously installed was Windows Server 2016 by the software vendor and then they updated it to Windows Server 2019. Whenever I am trying the above fixes it is showing only one error "SOURCE NOT FOUND".

I finally installed VEEAM backup and took the server's whole backup.

But I want to know why this WINDOWS SERVER BACKUP feature missed from the server suddenly.

Can anyone help?

 

Windows updates are failed in Windows Server 2016

We are using Windows Server 2016 for additional AD. And We are tried to install windows update in server. But Update Failed to install. I had try to lot of steps,
The below error is showed ,
• 2019-12 Cumulative Update for Windows Server 2016 for x64-based Systems (KB4530689) - Error 0x80073701

Please provide best solution.
