Windows 10: error 0x800f0905 when uninstalling security update using DISM

log file - https://ctxt.io/2/AACQH8DeFAplease help me uninstall this update. when i try to do that in control panel i get "Update cannot be completed" error. I tried to fix it with dism /restorehealth /cleanup-image, sfc /scannow, resetting windows update components.

I've tried the solution you suggested and it stopped in the middle of the uninstall process with the error message:

"Windows update standalone installer: installer encountered an error: 0x800f0905".

How can I Solve this problem and uninstall this update?

how to uninstall security update KB5016616

Hello.. i would like to unstall security update kb5016616 -

This is what I have tried

Uninstall from control panel.. and get his .. an error has occured. not all of the updates were successfuly unstalled.

Looked at the updates via powershell and see the update by the intersting thing is it says the installed by is my compter name instead of nt authority\system

When I try to uninstall it via powerwhell I get this... installer enournered an error: 0x800f0905

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Windows Update Error Message 0x80070543


Ya Ya Ya, there's over a hundred threads like this, ...

Anyway, started getting this error message a few days ago, and done a lot of searching on this error message, apparently it's not, uncommon.

In particular, the (currently) 4 updates that are being affected are:

• Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3173428) - Error 0x80070543
• Security Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3172729) - Error 0x80070543
• Security Update for Adobe Flash Player for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3174060) - Error 0x80070543
• Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3176493) - Error 0x80070543

The actions I've taken to date are:

1. Uninstalled firewall program (comodo)
2. Uninstalled anti-virus (Avast)
3. Reset the windows update catalog on local machine.

So the above errors are with the above done.

What other steps should I be taking to resolve the issue?
