Windows 10: Error 0x800F0922 when trying to install KB3193494 update

Discus and support Error 0x800F0922 when trying to install KB3193494 update in Windows 10 Updates and Activation to solve the problem; My laptop has been unable to install the KB3193494 update.     My laptop has been unable to install the KB3193494 update. Each time it gets to 99% then gives me a message saying Windows couldn't finish installing updates and rolls back the changes. The event viewer is showing a message of "Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x800F0922: Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB3193494).". I've attached the event details here. Any help would be appreciated.

    We've been telling MS all along that it's not just the 'network transmission' problem!

    the install fails too for many of us, whether by windows update or standalone install, both these updates have the same problem, namely that the install gets to the very end - very slowly, then just fails and rolls back.

    i could cry if you're only just noticing this...

    at that time in the event log:

    Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x800F0922: Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB3189866).

    or

    Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x800F0922: Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB3193494).

    Microsoft,

    I'm a very frustrated administrator. Windows 10 updates are failing network wide. My Windows clients attempt to apply several Cumulative updates, reach 100%, fail and then unapply the update. Employees are delayed by 20 minutes or more most mornings. Fortunately
    most of the clients don't have wireless devices, because if they did, the update would stop until the wireless receiver is removed.

    I'm tired of babysitting these computers, I don't want to edit the registry or remove folders or change a bunch of policies or spend hours trying to troubleshoot each windows update error just to get these updates installed. I want the update system to reliably
    function as it has in the past.

    Now I'm reading that the BCD store may contain incorrect information which is causing the update problems. This is just one of the many theories floating around by other users with the same problem. We need an official Microsoft solution to this problem.

    There are also problems with apps when imaging, sometimes the start menu button doesn't function, print server issues because of patches KB3177725 & KB3176493, no approved central way to pin taskbar shortcuts and intentionally breaking previous solutions,
    updates and caches consuming 15-20GB of valuable SSD drive space, the list goes on and on.

    Error 0x800F0922 when trying to install KB3193494 update

    Have you tried visiting the Microsoft Update Catalog to download the proper version and installing it manually? I only had one of 8 machines show a problem, and that addressed it for me. Perhaps you should give it a try?
