Windows 10: Error 0x800F0922

I'm trying to install .NET Framework 3.5 because Steam requires it for me to run 2 games I just bought, but every time I try to install it, it gives the following error code and message:
The changes couldn't be completed. Please reboot your computer and try again.

Error code: 0x800F0922
I've tried everything I could find on the internet and none of it has fixed this problem. I always get the same error message and code. I found someone claiming that this is a CBS error, so if it would help I have my CBS log available.

Windows refuses to update - Error 0x800f0922


Windows won't update, i ran sfc as an Admin in CMD and no issues.

• Adobe is activated on Edge but still doesn't work, could this be related?

Error 0x800F0922 when enabling media player in windows 10 1607

Running Windows 10 (1607) - Media Feature is listed in the windows features - when I check to enable I get error 0x800F0922. .Net 3.5 fully enabled without errors. Need to enable Windows Media Features for some of the other applications to work. I have
already tried various things including reinstalling 1607 - does not help. Desperate to get this fixed. Any suggestion is much appreciated.

Checking .NET Framework

it in Windows Features. You can do those by following these instructions:

1. On your keyboard, press Windows Key+S.
2. Type “Windows Features” (no quotes).
3. Select ‘Turn Windows Features on or off’ from the results

2. Click OK to save your selection.
3. Restart your computer
