Windows 10: Error 0x800f0988 while installing 2020-05 Cumulative Update KB4556799

I'm receiving error 0x800f0988 when installing May Cumulative Update.


Windows Update tried for many times without any success. The same occured with previous cumulative updates from April and so.

Other Windows Updates works fine.

I tried to install using standalone installer, and I also tried other things like:

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

dism /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup
sfc / scannow

but it didn't report any issue.


I searched log files and found something in CBS.log, the interesting part below.

It says there's a problem with package, but I have no idea how to fix it.
