Windows 10: Error 0x800f0991 while Windows 11 update 2025-06 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11...

Hi,I tried several times to install Windows 11 update 2025-06 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems KB5060829. First attempt ended with repairing corrupted files. Second attempt ended up with new error: 0x800f0991How to update successfully and correct issue once for ever?

the update keeps failing at the 25% install. Please help.

 

2024-06 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5039212) keeps crashing my computer

Mine gets stuck at 4% while the other has completed. As per the following:

2024-06 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5039302) Downloading: - 4%

2024-06 Cumulative Update Preview for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 23H2 for x64 (KB5039866) - completed.

 

Windows Update Instal Error

I have been experiencing the below mentioned error for more than one month and because of which I feel the system has become slow and problem in installing fresh updates.

"2023-10 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5031455)

Install error - 0x800f0991"

Mine is desk top HP pavilion all-in-one PC running Windows 11 home.

I will be very much thankful to any one who provides me step by step easily understandable solution to get rid of the above error as I am not an tech expert but only having working knowledge in the PC.

Special request: while suggesting the solution kindly ensure no data in my system is lost..
