Windows 10: Error 0x80248014

Hello, community


I've got this problem for over 2 days right now, so I tried to fix my problem manually (something went wrong with my audio drivers), so my laptop says that there are "no speakers or headphones are plugged in" and in volume mixer that "no audio device is installed" so I've been looking through internet and found that some people had the same problem and let the Windows Update so resolve it. There comes the problem "Error 0x80248014", trying to get "Realtek Semiconductor Corp. - Audio Device, Other hardware - Realtek High Definition Audio" when I was looking for it manually, the latest driver version is from May 2017, nothing more up to date.


Did anyone have the same issue? And if, how did you resolve it?

Thanks for any information/tips.

We understand that you're having issues with installing any applications from Windows Store. The error 0X80248014 appears
when the Microsoft Update is the source selected to download and the computer has not been configured to opt-in to Microsoft Update. We suggest to manually reset the Windows Updates Components, restart the computer
and start the download.

• 
  Press Windows Key + X on the keyboard and then select
  Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
  
• 
  Stop the BITS, Cryptographic, MSI Installer and the Windows Update Services. To do this, type the following commands at the Command Prompt. Press the
  ENTER key after you type each command:
  

net stop wuauserv

net stop cryptSvc

net stop bits

net stop msiserver

• 
  Then, rename the SoftwareDistribution and Catroot2 folder. You can do this by typing the following commands in the Command Prompt. Press the
  ENTER key after you type each command:
  

ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old

  Now, let’s restart the BITS, Cryptographic, MSI Installer and the Windows Update Services. Type the following commands in the Command Prompt for this. Press the ENTER key after you type each command:
  

net start wuauserv

net start cryptSvc

net start bits

net start msiserver

• 
  Type Exit in the Command Prompt to close it. Restart the computer.
  

You may now try running the Windows Updates and check if the above steps resolve the issue.

Also reset store cache. Here are the steps:

• 
  Press Windows key +R to bring up the run command window.
  
• 
  Type “WSReset.exe” and press Enter.
