Windows 10: Error 0x870070035 - While trying to access computer network

I have a Win 10 1803 computer that all of a sudden this morning its drives can no longer be accessed by other computers on my network yet it can browse the other computer drives with no problems.


It can be pinged using machine IP address or machineName.local with no problems.


When I try to map a network drive on that computer from another one using \\machineName\driveName I get the message


Windows cannot access \\machinename

Error 0x870070035

network path cannot be found


I can map a network drive from another computer using \\192.168.x.x.\driveName with no problems but login/password had to be used as expected


There seems to be problem with using the computer name


Suggestions on how to fix this problem?

One computer cannot access other network computers.


So I've tried every troubleshooting step I know:

• Double checked that Net Bios was enabled
• Ran a bunch of network commands:
  • flushed DNS
  • registered dns
  • pinged and located the named computers successfully
• Reset my router to factory settings

Nothing works when I try to access via explorer. I'm still baffled by the fact that every other computer can access each other AND access this computer. It's just the outgoing connection from this machine that doesn't work.

Any thoughts?
