Windows 10: Error: 0xc000000e

I was trying to install Linux alongside Windows. One person suggested I change the format of the disk to MBR, so I did so with an external program. I now see this was a bad idea as on reload, I can't access Windows.


It gives the error 0xc000000e, not surprising as the formatting deleted the boot partition. But I have no clue how to get it back. I ran the installation media to try and get I fixed, but it only errored.


I tried then to use the command prompt option as suggested in one answer using the following commands:

Bootrec /fixmbr
Bootrec /fixboot
Bootrec /rebuildbcd

The last of the three failed when I tried to apply it to the installation.


My question is how can I fix it? I'd appreciate and help fixing my reckless mistake.
