Windows 10: Error 0xc004c060 when activating Win 10 Pro OEM with retail licence key

Hello, thanks to anyone who responds and points me in the right direction.I am attempting to activate a Windows 10 Pro OEM install with a new retail licence key.As far as I can tell this should be fine, I have removed the previous OEM key and removed the OEM key from the registry.However, I always run into error 0xc004c060 when trying to activate, this further states that the digital licence may be invalid.I am 100% certain the retail keys I am using are fine, and was under the impression you could change an OEM Windows install product key with a retail key, although I might be mistaken.So in

Hello,

I am using win 10 pro upgraded from win 8 , after upgrading the win is activated with a digital licence , when I put my original win 8 key in the change the licence field the licence shows a oem key in the basic computer information page, does it mean any
thing ?

Is the Retail licence the same edition (Home, Pro . . etc) as the OEM licence?

Do you have the product key for your Retail licence?

If so, open the Settings App, go to Update and Security - activation

Click 'Change Product Key' and enter your retail licence key . . .
