Error with windows update, trying to install the November update of windows 10

The Installation failed in the SECOND_BOOT phase with an error during BOOT operation.

I have done the DISM stuff the SFC stuff and even did a full CLEAN install of windows 10 losing all my programs and that's how i got the error i listed above. I downloaded the patch using the Windows Media tool as the windows update wont seem to download it and say it will try again later. It always seems to fail on one of the restarts.

Any Idea how to get the November update installed? Oh and now some of my programs are saying im missing MSVCP100.dll and trying to go to the download page at Microsoft just says try again later.

I'm trying to update from Windows 8.1 to 10. Each time (several) I attempt it the process goes along well until I reach the user-password sign in point, where it fails and says the password is incorrect. After a long time I'm returned to Windows 8.1 and
the following error code shows up:

0xC1900101-0x40017, with this message: "The installation failed in the SECOND_BOOT phase with an error during the BOOT operation."

I'd appreciate some help!!
