    Error 1009: The configuration registry database is corrupt.


    Since one day, my computer has been unable to recognize USB devices when they are plugged in. This includes mice, keyboards, USB drives, and even a USB docking station. When I check the device manager, it shows an error. So, I tried to manually install the drivers. The mouse was successfully installed, but the keyboard installation failed.     Configuration database registry is corrupt.

    Running into the "The configuration database registry is corrupt." error while trying to install drivers for a new USB audio interface I've just purchased.

    I've tried using a registry cleaner and sfc/ scannow, the latter came back with no integrity violations.
