Windows 10: Error 1275: This driver has been blocked from loading.

I am currently trying to start a mid 2000's game which requires the driver SecDRV.SYS to be running to check the disc is inserted to validate ownership, previously on Windows 7 the driver has worked fine I have not played the game Command & Conquer: Generals - Delux Edition in ages. Does anyone know how to unblock this driver from loading, or more importantly start the game?


I have tried all the methods online which have claimed to previously worked, such as starting it in an elevated command prompt Both as SYSTEM and Administrator, by modifying the registry and by using MMC to start the service on boot as SYSTEM and as myself.


Here is what the error looks like in the command prompt Its the same with or without elevation:


C:\Users\archie>sc start secdrv

This driver has been blocked from loading

I am running Windows 10 Pro Version 2004 OS Build 19041.388

Win 10 Won't Load HP Fax Driver - says the app has been blocked

I loaded the CD for the driver of the HP 7500 Scanner but I get the message, "This app has been blocked for your protection". There is no apparent way to override the block. Any suggestions?

Application has been blocked from accessing Graphics Drivers

Hi,

The problem could occur if the Windows is not Up-to-date or if the drivers are not compatible. Hence I suggest you to install Windows Updates first and then try installing the display drivers.

• On the search bar type Settings, Select Update & Recovery.
• This should bring up the Check for Updates window. Install updates.

Reinstall the graphics card drivers installed on the computer from manufacturer's website and check if that helps fix the issue.

Refer to the following steps to uninstall Display Device from the Device Manager:

• 
  Press Windows and X keys together.

  Click on Device Manager.
  
• 
  Locate and Expand the Display Adapter.

  Right-click on the Display Device.
