Windows 10: Error 1500 with H&R Block 2024 Tax Software

I'm getting error 1500 whenever I try to install H&R Block 2024 tax software HRBlock_Deluxe-State_2024_HD.exe. I'm using Windows 11 Version 23H2 OS build 22631.4602, 64-bit operating system on a home PC. After downloading the file, I run as administrator, go through the install wizard, and the error comes at the final step when I click the install button. I first get a dialog box that pops up telling me "Preparing to remove..." this is a new computer, never previously installed this software ever, there's nothing to remove. Then a second dialog box pops up with the message "Error 1500

Yes, you are correct. We can only tell that this is a problem with Windows 10 when all of the websites that you are trying to access have the same error. And I agree, this has something to do with the settings or something with the configuration of the network that this specific software would allow. Since this is a third party software, we only have limited resources but don't worry we will try our best.

I went to H&R Block Technical Support website and found the recommended troubleshooting for this error. I understand that you have done this already as you mentioned above, but kindly try to double-check and confirm if everything has already been performed.

Also, I'm not sure if you are using Verizon network but I have found this article from their Tech Community and solved other people who are having the same error.

If you could, please check the Proxy configuration of your Windows 8.1 PC and make sure it is the same with Windows 10.

1. Are you connected to your home internet network? Or your work domain?
   
2. Can we ask the exact version and edition of Windows 10 running on this computer?
   
   You can send us a screenshot of your WINVER, to do so;
   
   1. Press Windows Key + R
      
   2. At the Run dialog box, type WINVER
      
   3. Hit OK or Enter
      
   4. It should show the Windows information.

Receives Runtime Error and H&R Block on Windows 10.

Hi there and Thank you in Advance!

I have uploaded H&R Block 2015 Software on my Toshiba - MS Windows 10. When I launch, I get a Runtime error.

When I launch the 2014 version, it works fine.

Need to get taxes done and H & R Block CS is not getting back to me timely. Please help!
