Windows 10: Error 1622 when installing Quickbooks

I get an Error 1622 when installing quickbooks from the admin account. No problem installing anything else. I finally installed it by creating a new admin account and installing from there. Yet, there is still a problem. I can open quickbooks from the new admin account and from other user accounts, but I cannot open it from the old admin account. Each time I do, the quickbooks startup image momentarily pops up, then disappears. Setting that aside and focusing on the Error 1622, how might I fix that.


Prior to the Error 1622 problem, installation extracted files and attempted to replace ones that were already in a Temp folder. When doing so, I got an access denied message to replace an .ini file. Skipping over that, installation seemed to proceed, until a failure was encountered accessing the quickbooks .msi file. I renamed the relevant Temp folder "OLD" and tried installing. That didn't help either. It was after that that the 1622 Error started to appear.


Windows 10, with no third party firewall and antivirus.

I got the same problem some weeks ago and did not found a solution for this. All listed articles does not solve the issue.

Even a complete new install of the Nokia suite was unsuccessfull. Today I tried again (in the meantime some new updates for the OS Win7 (32bit) have been installed. Again usual installation fails with error code 1622. At last I deleted the Nokia and the
NokiaInstallerCache folders in \programdata and after that th installation runs perfect :blink:. Seems that something was wrong in the OS/installer .

Quickbooks backup

1. Are you trying to create a backup file or restore it?
   
2. When you say ‘it kicks out’, do you mean you are out of the application? Or is it getting stuck?
   
3. Which version of QuickBooks is installed on your machine?
   
4. Do you read any error code/message regarding the issue?
   

This issue could occur when the backup location is no longer accessible. So, I suggest you to verify the file location and reboot your computer. If that doesn’t help, you may check if the steps listed below and see if it helps.

Method: Repair the application.

• On the Start menu, enter Control Panel in the search box and select Control Panel from the results.
  
• Select Programs > Programs and Features, and then select the program (QuickBooks Online).
  
• To fix the program, select Repair or, if that’s not available,
  Change.
  
• Follow the directions on the screen.
  

If repair application doesn’t work, I would suggest you to Uninstall the application and
Re-install it.

However, I would suggest you to contact Intuit QuickBooks support to re-install the application.
