I've just installed windows and now afetr 5 days this error suddenly happen, i cannot install anything! Please help!Error 2203. Database: C:\WINDOWS\Installer\inprogressinstallinfo.ipi. Run the Compact and Repair utility. To do so, follow these steps:

• If the database is open, close it.
• On the Tools menu, point to Database Utilities, and then click Compact and Repair Database.
• In the Database to Compact From dialog box, select the file that you want to compact, and then click Compact.
• In the Compact Database Into dialog box, enter a new file name, and then click Save.
  
  If the compact and repair does not succeed, you will receive a message stating so. This means the damage is so severe that it cannot be corrected.

 

Access database error "Unable to open connection to database" in Windows 10 only

Thank you for your suggestions. I did both steps as indicated but had the same result.

I have Quickbooks 2015 which apparently also uses the access database and it works correctly on the Windows 10 machine. Not sure if this information helps or not.

MS Works database replacement ?

I do have Works 9 installed on Windows 10 & it works for the most part, but there are some issues. And it may not work with Windows 11. Since it’s not supported anymore I’d like to move to another database.

I do have LibreOffice installed but its Base database is more complex than I need. The Guide is 479 pages, & that’s just for the Base app. I’ve been working with Base & find there’s just too many steps needed to do what I want.

I’m under the impression that Base is a relational database that links several tables together. Obviously it can do a lot, but I don’t need it to do a lot. I just want to create a few simple databases such as an address book & don’t need multiple tables, etc.

Is there a tutorial for Base that shows how to set up what I would call would be a simple one table database similar to Works?
