    Hello,No matter which tutorial/forum I follow I cant seem to get rid of error 2203 in which I cant install or uninstall certain files. The latest guide I followed along with is the link below but it didnt seem to work. Maybe I'm overlooking something simple but I'm at my wits end here.     I do thank you.

    One thing I can show is the 2203 error during an installation:

    This was attempting to install the Fed Government's SS calculator that I have used for many years. If I disable LUA in the registry, it will install fine.

    Hello,

    I am having trouble, I first noticed it when an iTunes update came out and the auto update failed, I thought nothing of it.
    Next Adobe said it had an update, but it failed too. Then Plex media server did the same.

    I finally gave in and manually downloaded the files, all failed with an Error 2203. I tried to uninstall iTunes from Control Panel and got the same error.

    I also needed to install a piece of software that was in an MSI package, it gives the same error.

    I have tried setting permissions for the temp and installer directories as that seems to be well googled, but I'm still stuck.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    error code 2203 while trying to uninstall java

    So this all started with me trying to delete my old versions of java and then install the latest one. I get an error, and follow the websites instructions to uninstall all previous versions of java before installing the newest version. When I try to uninstall
    the older versions of java I get this message "The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2203". I've been trying to fix this for actual hours and I dont know
    what to do. Im using the latest version of windows 10.
