Windows 10: Error 80070780 on some files Windows 11

Hi allMany of my files not all have small brown file box icons in the left hand corner or the file icon - These files can't be opened or deleted and report the error 80070780.Any ideas?

Hello, what is a fix for Windows 10 upgrade from Windows 7 home premium error code 80070780? I received this after I uninstalled my anti-virus, met all of the system spec requirements, after the Windows 10 download and during the installation.

List the EXACT "blah, blah" you mention, here please... for ALL installation cases!

(Sound like a possible "DLL-Hell" issue, but "Windows File Protection" &/or "System File Protection" should have countered for this... no biggie, there's ways around that too!)

Thank you for your help so far. However, problems remain. Your Method 1 was not a success - the install resulted in the same error code 80070780. Method 2 was attempted by first backing up the registry. I saved it to a file name per your instructions.
Before proceeding further with your instructions, I then attempted an import back to the registry per your instructions. It failed resulting in this message: Registry Editor Cannot import F:\***.reg. Not all data was successfully written to the registry.
Some keys are open by the system or other process.
