Windows 10: Error After Update?

Ive owned the Gold pack Disk version for over 5 years of my life and have played it on multiple computers even this new windows 10 HP. However, after a windows update last night as I slept all of my mods are now rendered useless as they receive the message "A required security module can not be activated. This program can not be executed." however this also happens on the Forces of Corruption base game DLC. The only shortcut that works is the base vanilla game.


So I looked to the internet for answers


I restarted my PC - didnt work

I looked to see if I still has secdrv.sys - I do

I looked in my registry on my machine and nothing was denied as far as my disk drive is for mounted devices

Really dont want to buy a crappy Apple Computer as I need Microsoft Office for literally everything I do.

2. In the list of services, right-click Automatic Updates, and then click Properties.

3. In the Startup type list, click Automatic, and then click Apply.

4. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

5. Right-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service, and then click Properties.

6. In the Startup type list, click Manual, and then click Apply.

7. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

^ what they said will both work. i suggest updating directX, and in the future please try and list the exact error message... and i want a muffin.
