  1. Error booting from ssd. BIOS SAYS 1 GB SSD

Hello, so i have a pc which is constantly giving me errors. The error started a year back when I had a 1tb hdd. I used to get a lot off boot errors like corrupted boot drive etc. When nothing helped I reinstalled windows 10 . After some time same problem. So I replaced it with 500gb hdd . That also gave same error after some time . Finally I bought crucial 250gb ssd and reinstalled windows 11 . Worked fine for the first 15 days but then one day I turn PC on I got sent back to bios and there my ssd was shown to be conncted with 1 GB space . I reinstalled windows many times but still after a day

    :)

  2. BIOS SSD Priority

I am going to change out my HDD to a SSD. Right now the BIOS does not have a SSD listed in the BIOS boot priority. Does the SSD show up in the BIOS after the SSD is plugged in? Or is there some command prompt that I can use to add SSD prior to plugging in the SSD?

Cannot boot from SSD, get sent back to BIOS

I have recently got a new SSD for my desktop and wanted to do a fresh install of windows and replace my current HDD, giving me a fresh slate. I go through the standard windows installation with a USB, and unplug the USB after windows has been installed onto
the SSD, the computer will then restart and I get put back into the BIOS. My issue is that once i do this, every-time, no matter what I do when i try to boot to the SSD I get sent back to the BIOS, here is a list of what I've tried:

    • Changing boot order
    • unplugging every other SATA cable except for the one connected to the SSD
    • plugging the SSD SATA cable into the lowest number SATA port on my motherboard
    • Plugging in the SSD SATA cable into the port used by my disk drive
    • Enabling and disabling safe boot in the BIOS
    • enabling and disabling CSM in the BIOS
    • Setting the boot CSM to "UEFI only" (does not recognize the SSD anymore)
    • Installing windows from the USB with the SSD being the only drive attached
    • using the same SATA port as my unplugged HDD for my SSD

When in the BIOS the SSD is the only possible boot device recognized by the motherboard, the BIOS does recognize the SSD as a bootable drive. I've checked the SSD when booting from my HDD and all the necessary windows files seem to be there. When attempting
to boot i get a black screen with a single flashing white line in the top left, then it proceeds into the BIOS.

I have no idea what's wrong and I have found nothing that can fix it. if it's necessary here is my hardware:

    ASUS Z97-A

    Intel I5-4670K

    NVIDIA GeForce 1070

    8 GB RAM

A sound card (if that's relevant)

    Storage:

    HDD: Seagate 1TB

SSD: WD 1TB SSD "3D NAND" (New Drive)

  4. Error booting from ssd. BIOS SAYS 1 GB SSD

Automatic repair while booting from hdd and installing windows on ssd.

    1. Migrated windows from hdd to ssd
    2. Formatted hdd
    3. Prioritised boot from ssd in bios
    4. Turned on the pc
    5. Automatic repair

To deal with this I select boot from a device > then EFI USB device > it says no bootable USB detected, select from these drives > there are few options including the newly installed ssd > I select ssd > then it shows disk checking, press any key to stop > I stop it > windows then boots from ssd.

It very difficult to repeat all this everytime I turn on my pc. Please suggest a fix.
