Windows 10: Error c1900201 on attempting WIN10 V1803 to update to 1809

My Windows 10 Pro X64 V1803 is installed on a SSD drive. I downloaded Windows10Upgrade9252.exe from https://www.microsoft.com/de-de/software-download/windows10 and tried an update. Finally it stopped with the message "You can't install Windows on a USB flash drive using Setup" and error 0xc1900201 was reported.


What can I do, since my drive is not a USB drive but connected to a normal SATA port (which, however, originally was designed to connect a CD/DCD drive).

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

When in win10:

• Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....

Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
- Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

 

Windows 10 Upgrade - Error c1900201

Whenever I attempt upgrading to Windows 10 on my desktop computer, I always get the error "c1900201" after downloading. I tried using the Media Creation Tool to use my USB drive as an installer, but it doesn't give me the option to keep my data when I launch
it. (Same for if I choose the "Upgrade now" function.)

Any others having this issue? Solutions?

 

What is the latest stable build of Win10 ?

If your not willing to run the latest V1803 build then I'd suggest sticking to v1709 from here http://windowsiso.net/windows-10-iso/windows-10-creators-update-1709-download-build-16299-15/ pick the one most applicable to you
