    I cant load into Windows because it says krnl is missing or corrupt 0xc0000098 ive tried plugging a USB to reinstall Windows but when I boot up Windows from the USB it still says the same error i cant even get into the startup settings because my screen just flashes black for 0.1 seconds and then goes back to the same error ive been thinking about formating my ssd maybe that will work but I cant boot into the install Windows menu or i could buy a New ssd

    A faulty hard drive, cabling or connection could be one of the possible reasons why you are having the 0xc0000098 error. May we know where you got the Windows 10 installation media that you used to install to your computer? I would suggest that you download
    the media creation tool in this
    link     on another computer to create a Windows 10 installation media. You can also check the post provided by
    SpiritX MS MVP in this
    thread     for the other troubleshooting steps.

    0xc0000098 is caused by an incomplete or corrupt configuration in the BCD registry hive. To help get the best solution to your concern, we'd like to ask the following questions below:

    Hi,

    The the 0xc0000098 error can appear due to a corrupted BCD (Boot Configuration Data) file. This can be due to a change in the hardware. There is also a possibility that Windows files or the hard drive was damaged on some cases. In this case, we suggest to boot
    from windows 10 installation disc and kindly follow the steps provided by
    Teemo Tang     on this
