Windows 10: Error "cant open access control editor the activation requires a display name to be present...

For whatever reason this week i started getting this error "Your administrator has blocked you from running this program cant open access control editor the activation requires a display name to be present under the CLSID Key" This happens when i want to edit files, remove files or add other files to any program folders Like a app or game folder where all the data from that app is put there... I have used the regedit trick to stop it and it worked but it completely disables user account control and when i re-enable it and reboot same problem happens again and error message!! please help!!!

• D: drive is my internal drive
• I logged-in as an administrator.
• I Have NOT made any changes to the operating system prior to this issue, but this problems started after Windows Update KB3122947.

I tried your method 1

- When I clicked Properties > Security > Advanced
> Change then I got an error message "Can't open access control editor. Unable to perform a security operation on an object that has no associated security".

- When I clicked > Properties > Security tab
> Under Group or user names there is a blank field.

- When I clicked > Properties > General > Advanced
> Encrypt contents to secure data is NOT selected.

- When I clicked > Properties > Security tab
> Advanced > Owner says Unable to display Owner. then I get an error message "Can't
open access control editor. Unable to perform a security operation on an object that has no associated security".

I tried your method 2, but even after I disabled all services I still have all the above problems. Can't access a folder on my d drive, where I have installed several important programs

Cant open access control editor. the remote procedure call failed, why this error?

I am getting the error:

Cant open access control editor. The remote procedure call failed.

when i try to access the edit page in properties>security of a suspended svchost.exe process. It just get stuck.

Any solution!

 

CD drive error

1) Close all open programs
2) Click on Start, Run, and type REGEDIT and press Enter
3) Click on the plus signs (+) next to the following folders

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SYSTEM
CurrentControlSet
Control
Class
{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
4) This folder is the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class Description in the registry. Look for any of the following names in the right hand column.

UpperFilters
LowerFilters
UpperFilters.bak
LowerFilters.bak
5) If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose Delete
6) After deleting the keys, close the Registry Editor
7) Reboot your computer
8) Open My Computer and check to see if your CD or DVD drives have returned. You may also want to open Device Manager and verify that the yellow exclamation and error code on the CD or DVD drive is gone.

And it likely has something to do with the emulated drive you have listed there.
